Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have previously worked on a livery yard, professional showjumping yard and volunteered on an eventing yard. I also started my own freelancing business which i pursued for a year gaining some lovely clients and experiences. I have had the opportunity to groom at UK and abroad competitions.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I’d like to think I’m good at working alone and with others, a self motivated person. Can plait, clip, bath to a high standard, confident at handling and riding a wide range of horses. Also competent at cleaning, laundry, general household chores as well as other animal care.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy the variety of yard and competition grooming as well as the reward of seeing the horses and riders progress.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to improve my threading of plaits

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
My previous experience and willingness to work and get stuck in with any job. I enjoy variety so willing to give anything a try from out on the yard to at home indoors. I’m an easy going person who hates drama or conflict.
