• Do you need accommodation?
Yes.

Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I recently completed a Level 3 Extended Technical Diploma in Equine Management at Easton college, including being on the ridden pathway. During this I completed 300+ hours over 2 years at 3 different yards. For my diploma we covered subjects such as; equine biology, grooming, tack and equipment, coaching 1 on 1 and a group ride, business, feed and nutrition, creating a fitness plan for a horse, basic yard work, designing a jumping course, judging an inter-house jumping and flat competition, running an external event and much more.
I also attended the British Racing School for 2 weeks, riding and working with the race horses there.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I have turned out for many inter-house competitions, most recently winning a small native breed ridden competition at my college on a Cob. I haven’t ridden many green horses but I have ridden two recently backed Cobs at college, working them for their first interval training session.
I have done a considerable amount of work with riding schools and coached complete beginner riders aiding in their confidence with being around and riding horses.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love caring for them, simply grooming, bathing or giving them a hand walk if that’s what they need is why I enjoy being around horses. Their welfare is always my priority.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I want to improve on my knowledge within this industry, I have seen and worked in many different sectors but there is always more to learn with horses and my riding technique.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I always try my best with whatever job I am given, from mucking out to preparing for a show, I adore simply being with horses and treat everyone as my own. I have worked as a team, by myself and as a leader.
