Experience with Horses and Key Skills
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation.
I have worked at 3 race yards (P2P, Flat and dual).
Skills:
General yard work, general handling of thoroughbreds in training. Working within a team or sole charge. General first aid and care of horses during box rest, treatment and rehabilitation of horses coming back into work from illness or injury and assisting with veterinary and other treatment such as x-rays, cryotherapy, physiotherapy and shockwave treatment. Racing experience, driving a 3.5T horsebox. Exercising in double or single lunge pit, loose or on a line, including using head gear and lunging aids.
General first aid and husbandry, administering oral medicines.
Handling broodmares and foals, plus weaned foals.
