• Do you need accommodation?
Yes
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No
Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have several years of hands-on experience with horses, primarily in dressage and trail riding. I have cared for my own horses and am comfortable with daily responsibilities including feeding, grooming, tacking up, exercising, mucking out and general horse care. I have ridden different horses and have experience working with horses with different personalities and abilities.
I have jumped up to approximately 1m, although dressage and trail riding are my main areas of experience. While volunteering on a horse farm in Italy, I gained further experience working with horses in a different environment and had the opportunity to help beginners and assist with basic riding lessons.
I am eager to continue developing my skills, particularly in horse care, guiding and working with a wider variety of horses.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
- Confident handling and caring for horses
- Feeding, grooming, tacking up and general stable duties
- Dressage and trail riding experience
- Experience riding different horses
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Patient and calm when working with horses and beginners
- Experience assisting beginners and helping with basic riding lessons
- Willing to learn and take direction from more experienced staff
- Reliable, hardworking and adaptable
- Photography and social-media/content skills, which could be an additional asset to an equestrian business
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy the combination of working with the horses themselves and the practical, hands-on nature of the work. I particularly enjoy building trust with different horses and seeing their individual personalities develop. I also enjoy being outdoors, staying active and learning from more experienced riders and horse people.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to broaden my experience by working with a greater variety of horses and improve my skills in guiding, young or unfamiliar horses and more advanced horse care. I am very open to learning and taking instruction from experienced people.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am hardworking, responsible and genuinely passionate about horses. I am used to taking responsibility for the day-to-day care of horses and understand that stable work requires consistency, reliability and a willingness to do the less glamorous jobs as well. I am adaptable, eager to learn and enjoy working as part of a team. I also bring additional skills in photography, social media and content creation, which could be valuable to an equestrian business.
