I have over 20 years of experience with horses, having started riding as a child and never looked back. What began as a childhood dream has grown into a way of life. Over the past three years, I have worked professionally with horses around the world, guiding horse treks in Iceland, New Zealand and Canada, as well as gaining wrangling experience in Argentina.

Throughout these experiences, I have worked with a wide variety of horses and developed strong practical horsemanship skills. I am confident handling stallions, young horses and young cobs, as well as riding fresh and forward horses. My experience includes basic groundwork, understanding herd dynamics, saddle fitting, tack care and general horse care. I always aim to approach horses with patience, awareness and respect for their individual temperaments and needs, while prioritising their welfare and the safety of both horses and riders.

Before pursuing professional work with horses, I also gained experience managing campsites. This gave me valuable organisational, leadership and customer service skills, which I have continued to use throughout my work in the equine tourism industry. I enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and my international experience has taught me to be adaptable, resourceful and comfortable working in challenging outdoor environments.

What I enjoy most about working with horses is the connection and trust you can build with them. The past three years have confirmed that I could never see myself returning to a conventional 9-to-5 job. Although working with horses is physically demanding, it is honest and rewarding work that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I particularly love sharing my passion for horses with guests, helping them build their own connections with these incredible animals and creating experiences and memories that stay with them long after the ride is over.

I believe there is always more to learn when working with horses, and I am eager to continue developing my horsemanship, particularly in horse training, behaviour and welfare. After several years of seasonal work in different countries, I am now looking for a more permanent position where I can build on my experience, take on greater responsibility and become more involved in the day-to-day running of a yard or trekking operation. I would love to contribute not only to the care and training of the horses, but also to managing guides, maintaining high standards of horse welfare and creating excellent experiences for guests.

Ultimately, I am looking for a role where I can combine my practical horse experience, international background and management skills, while continuing to learn, grow and contribute to a team that shares my passion for horses.
