Experience with Horses
Over 15 years of experience in equine management and teaching, with a diverse background spanning yard management, competition grooming, freelance work and teaching. I have managed two different yards and gained experience across both large and small establishments, including riding schools and livery yards. My skills include staff management, teaching riders of all abilities, administration, business development and social media management.

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I find working with horses incredibly rewarding, especially seeing the progress they make through consistent care, training and understanding. Whether it’s helping a horse develop, seeing a rider gain confidence or watching a yard run smoothly as a team, it’s rewarding to know that your hard work makes a real difference.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’m always keen to learn and develop my skills further. Having worked across different types of yards and roles, I understand the importance of adapting to new environments, learning from others and finding ways to improve both horse welfare and the day-to-day running of a yard.

I bring over 15 years of practical experience in the equine industry, including yard management, staff management, teaching, competition grooming and the day-to-day running of both riding schools and livery yards. I’m hardworking, adaptable and confident working independently or as part of a team. I understand the importance of horse welfare, attention to detail and maintaining high standards, while also recognising the business and organisational side of running a successful yard. I’m reliable, approachable and willing to get stuck in wherever needed.
