My name is Kim Dalton, i am 28 years old.
I have approximately 25 years worth of experience with horses.
I have previously;
- Been a member of the Oakley Hunt North pony club (for 3/4 years duration)
- Studied equitation at Moulton college (for 2 years) doing Equine Management and Coaching graduating with a DDD* as well as a basic first aid certificate and a level 1 coaching certificate and a level 1 RDA qualification.
- Graduated from The Royal Agricultural University after 3 years with a Merit. (Studying Bloodstock and Performance Horse Management)
- Ridden just about every size, shape and temperament of horse.
- Working as a home groom/ exercise rider for a 5* level event rider, switching between full time and part time employment for the past 5 years, coinciding with working as a home groom/exercise rider for an amateur but rapidly increasing event/hunt yard.
- Worked previously on a young stock dealing/competition yard.
- Employed short term initially as a stable hand but was promptly promoted to head girl/rider/sole charge of livery yard.
- Competed up to: 1.10m SJ, 1m BE and Novice DR
- Qualified for my equine first aid and BHS stages (PC stage C+)
- Worked part time temporarily as a racehorse exercise rider for 6 months.
