Experience with Horses
I have worked with horses for 25yrs. Teaching and managing yards, livery and riding school, freelance coaching.
- Management of a team of 10 full time staff and 5 part time staff
- The organization and monitoring of the care of 40 horses.
- The organization of the feed, hay, bedding, farrier, vet, dentist, physio, saddler and all related care for the horses and owners.
- Daily training in NVQ and British Horse Society exams, for which I am entirely responsible, I set the staff a program of training each month with the aim of each student reaching their goals.
- The monitoring of regular shows, clinics and training days.
- Daily organization of the Riding school diary.
- Teaching clients of all ages and abilities, ranging from beginners to Stage 3 clients.
- Entire responsibility for writing the Health and Safety policy, induction handbook, welcome pack and children’s club guidelines.
- Regular input into the budget regarding improvement of the yard and facilities.
