Experience with Horses

I have ridden since the age of 6. I started at a riding school until 2011 when I moved to loaning and working for rides. I have done local showing and broken young stock in. I have done a lot of showjumping (unaffiliated) and also taught children and adults at my previous job at a riding school. I have also done a couple of seasons in polo (2021 & 2022 season) as a sole groom having at least 15 horses at a time. I am currently 7 months in on a show jumping yard as head girl, competition groom and occasional rider when the groom/rider is off. I would like to continue in showing/eventing furthering my skills and utilising the skills I already have.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am good at both working alone or in company along with delegating and managing other staff members. In my current job I do all the clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows etc and all the trimming up. I have previously driven a 3.5t box while working in polo. I have handled many stallions including when I had my own 12.2 show jumper/working hunter pony who was entire at the time. During my time at home and in polo I have broken in and schooled a lot of youngsters who have helped teach me along the way.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Seeing the horses improve and go on to do amazing things and also the feeling I get when I am around them.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
My riding skills, although a competent and confident rider there is always something new to learn.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am I dedicated hard working young girl who loves to work with the horses, treats them like my own and try my hardest at everything asked of me whilst also being able to step up to any task or role given.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I would love to gain more knowledge of horses anatomy and behaviours in the different environments and routines.
• Do you need accommodation?
Preferably yes but due to having a car I could commute from accommodation nearby.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
I do have a little dog (Boston terrier) who I would like to be able to stay with me now and again whilst not away at shows.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
I am currently employed on a showjumping yard but I have a 1-2 week notice period.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
I have a concert on the 8th June so would need 8&9th June off.
