Experience with Horses

I have been working on studs for the past 4 years. Doing the foaling, prepping the yearlings for the sales and going to the sales.

I have been to New Zealand and done a stud season there and learnt alot. The yearlings are more feral, once they come in to be prepped you learn alot and its rewarding watching them grow into mature horses.

Key Skills

I am good at working alone and in a group. I always get the tasks done that are required.

I can turn a horse out to the most highest standard, whether it is for pictures, clients or the sales.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Horses are really fun animals to be around. They always make me laugh when they are having strops or playing in their paddocks. They are great animals to be around.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I am up for learning anything! There is always something to learn in the horse industry. You never stop learning. I would like to get better at the foaling and one day to be left in charge with it all.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I am an easy person, laid back and get on with my jobs. I wont complain, I am happy working over time. I feel like since I worked in New Zealand I am up for any challenge as the horses there were incredibly strong and bold. Now you can give me any horse and I will do what you ask of me.

Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I would like to one day be manager/head person of a section of a stud. I wont be looking for that type of role for a few more years. But I want to learn almost everything there Is in the stud world.

• Do you need accommodation?

I can live in or out.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

No,

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

No,

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
