Experience with Horses
Horses have always been a big part to my family, from the age of 6 I attended weekly riding lessons. I am a competent rider who has competed regularly in all disciplines. I have owned my own horses for many years and have plenty of experience when riding a wide range of young inexperienced horses to the more advanced.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
Putting the horses needs first is something that is really important to me. I am a great team player and worker, this includes working as a individual or as part of a small/large team. My key skills are that I’m always on time (always early), turning horses out for shows which means handling all different horses. I’m always willing to help other and I always have a smile on my face.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I really enjoy being able to spend time on the yard. Being able to see the horses progressing forward and being able to prepare them for the competition’s and seeing them being successful.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to improve my self confidence, im always putting myself down about things and thinking that I can’t do it but then I’m proved that I can.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am a very hard working with a great working attitude. My work ethic is always on top form, always helping other people out and doing my best.
I come into work each day with a smile on my face, always getting on the with the tasks that are given.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I would love to be able to gain more experience and to be able to groom at more competitions, riding out and exercising the horses.
