Experience with Horses

Although my CV doesn’t reflect any experience in the equine industry I am hoping that it can provide you with enough evidence to show that I am determined and just need to be given a chance.

I have dedicated any time off from work to be a volunteer at a friends livery yard. This has provided me with a lot of experience from turning out the horses, grooming, tacking up, equipment and tack cleaning, organisation of feeds, mucking out and basic care of the fields and maintenance of the yard.

I can competently hack out, walk and trot.

Working in hospitality has given me varied skills and the ability to work with many different types of people from working in a  team to managing a team. I excel in customer service and I believe I could fit easily into your team.

I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I’m flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I am energetic and keen to work for an established company and finally do something I love.

I would be grateful for the opportunity to start apprentice program/Groom and to be educated in the equine industry to start my equestrian career.

I am able to take on the responsibility of this position with a two week notice period and have the enthusiasm and passion to ensure that I make a success of it.

I have excellent references and would be delighted to discuss this vacancy with you at your convenience.

In the case you do not have any suitable openings at the moment, I would be grateful if you would keep my CV on file for any future possibilities.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
