Experience with Horses
I can walk, trot on a horse confidently and can take them out on hacks confidently, I have previously been a stable hand at my friends yard and I know the basics on grooming. I’m currently working at a livery yard, I can turn out, bring in, rug according to owner or weather, pick out feet, feeds.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, turning out for shows, handling young horses, non-equine skills etc
I think my strong spots are, working alone but always have someone around incase I need some help, I have clipped in the past, full body, I can turnout, muck out, rug change, feed, all the basics really.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? I enjoy the bond that I can build with the horses.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would particularly like to improve on my riding skills and bring them up and I just love learning new things that will always help me in the future
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
i have always have had a loving for horses or any animals at that matter, Ive always wanted to do something to do with animals and with my friend owning a horse I’ve been able to learn how to ride, groom, look after horses basic needs and have a minor understanding on clipping which has been an amazing experience so far. Working on the Livery yard has expanded my knowledge a lot more.
