Experience with Horses
I have nearly 10 years worth of experience working professionally with various types of horses from family ponies/ horses to experienced 4* event horses/ Grand Prix dressage horses.
I have previously worked as a sole charge groom of up to 9 horses and ponies on a private family dressage yard for over 3 years. This included all yard duties, exercising, bringing on young dressage horses, show/ sales prep, dealing with vets and farrier, exercising children’s ponies and occasionally competing the youngsters.
I also have experience of competing on my own horses up to medium dressage, BE100, showjumping newcomers.
I am currently a freelance groom/ housesitter so I also have nearly 6 years worth of experience looking after/ maintaining households and pets whilst owners are away. Duties including keeping the house tidy and clean, dealing with contractors, doing laundry. Looking after various types of pets, general care, exercising.
I am very hard working and self motivated and always work to a very high standard. I am also very good at working in a team and taking instructions.
I also have experience driving 3.5 tonne lorries transporting horses to competitions/ lessons or vets.
