Experience with Horses
I have worked on a eventing yard and two big livery yards. in my years in working with horses I have handle different types of horses from 2 year old Arab to hot headed warmbloods and competition horses who are highly strung. I am not nervous what so ever of handling big horses. I have handled horses at 18hh sport horses and clydedales. I do my job at a high standard and makes sure the yard stables and horses look their best. I can ride, double lunge, lunge, clip, bath/show prep, plait, trim manes and tails. I can drive a quad bike and I’m a quick learner. I can muck out, waters, feeds, haynets, turn out and bring in at a high standard, tack up/untack, roll the arena, poo pick, I can do cobwebs use the hoover and loads more.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling/riding young horses, drive quad bike, handling competition horses and hot headed horses.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? horses are my passion and my life. i’m more than happy to help move bales of hay or shavings/straw. I am quiet and patient but tuff when i have to be.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve? my experience as you can’t have too much of it.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? I am trust worthy, confident, calm, reliable, hardworking. I know how to do it right and at a high standard. I’m patient and quick thinking when things don’t go to plan. I’m more than happy to handle the naughty horses who no one else likes. I do think you will be missing out on a groom who has hand on experience on and eventing who has been able to trust me being on my own looking after the horses when the owner is away.
