Experience with Horses
I’ve been riding horses since before I could walk, having grown up in the countryside of Cuba. I later went on to partake in rodeo, farriering, veterinary practices, bovine studies, and later ran my own horse riding excursion business through the tobacco fields of Cuba.
I’ve now been living in UK with my wife and our Dutch Shepherd for 2.5 years, and working in polo in Surrey since March 2022.
I’m an incredibly quick learner, offering my existing skills and adapting to each new environment with ease.
Key Skills
Working alone, working with others, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, general farm yard duties etc., farrier (not licensed in the UK but extensive skills for emergencies), extensive ‘first aid’ for horses and other animals, extensive veterinary practices (not licensed in the UK but incredibly knowledgeable to assist where possible).
Training and handling horses, including breaking, schooling and exercising; managing horse care routines, including feeding, grooming, and veterinary care; addressing behavioral issues in horses and finding effective solutions.
All relevant polo specific knowledge and experience (riding, training, grooming, feeding, collaborating with vets and farriers).
Requirements
