I have worked at yards voluntary and paid for the past 8 years and am finishing my second year of equine management at myerscough college
Whilst working at these yards I have gained a wide range of skills from general yard duties such as mucking out grooming and tacking up as well as helping prepare horses for shows by bathing and plaiting I have also worked with a range of horses from stallion to young horses and foals. My preferred discipline is dressage however whilst working at these yards I’ve learnt to generally school horses wether that be flat ,jumping, working young horses or working horses from the ground.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I thoroughly enjoy working with horses in general and improving my knowledge and there is no specific area I prefer to others
• I would like to keep learning more about working with younger horses and work more on the competitive side of the industry
• I would make an excellent candidate for jobs in the equine industry as I’m passionate about all aspects and am happy to work by myself or in a team and will take on any information or lessons that will be given
Requirements
• I would like to continue working in the equine industry as it is what I know how to do best I will be happy do anything but would love to continue to ride in my workplace as I have at my last two yards
•I do not need accommodation just within a close distance of where I live with part time and flexible hours
• I am currently do my dive master training which may require days of to conduct training
• I have quite a few holidays booked in the upcoming months and will also be moving down south to start uni in September
