Experience with Horses
3 years college degree in horse management. 3 years as a Swedish mounted royal guard (equivalent to House Hold Cavalry). 1 year as the Head groom at Royal Artillery saddle club Larkhill. 7 month working as a trainee veterinary nurse in an equine hospital. Have Had my own horses between 14 years old and 18 years old.
Key Skills
First aid, turn out, clipping, plaiting, lunge and long rain, hunting, team player but can also take solo charge. Fit and hardworking, not afraid to step in if needed. Loyal and always put the horses first.
• Interesting and satisfying, working both indoors and outdoors. Like to move about and work with my body. Horses are genuine and loving animals.
•I would like to improve my riding if needed and learn more about competition grooming.
• I’m mature, capable and a hard worker. I have long experience from working with horses both in the military, A-levels, riding centre and Equine hospital. I’m a loyal person who will always put the horses first. I’m a structured person with an eye for details and I like to have it clean and tidy around me.
Requirements
• I would like to have a job where I can work both on a yard with normal yard duties but also come to competitions. I would like to be able to ride but it’s not necessary.
• I need accommodation.
• I would like to bring my 2 dogs, a Labrador and a short haired collie, both well behaved and trained and happy with other dogs. Used to be around horses but happily stays in my car during work.
• No holidays booked.
