Personal Profile
I am a hard working individual that is able to work well on my own as well as within a team. I am happy to undertake a variety of different tasks daily and manage them to completion in a timely manner. I have a wealth of experience as have been riding since I was 4 and have worked with horses full time and around retail jobs. I have competed up to Foxhunter in Show jumping and Novice level in Dressage as well as doing local cross-country. I have been fortunate enough to be offered the rides on some lovely horses throughout my career and building a strong relationship with owners and sponsors. After completing my Equine Studies I was selected to work for the college over the summer which I hold to a high level as there were many students to select from. I had been based on the Isle of Wight with another local rider who has produced horses up to Area Trails, competed at HOYS and also abroad, so I am used to having to travel to shows and the preparation that goes with it. After leaving the Island I worked for Mark Corrbett who is an event rider, I would travel to all shows with him ranging from local BE to 3* International. Also I would exercise the horses at home not only his but the liveries as well along with the general yard duties. Currently I work within the MOD dealing with Military Working Horses and the development of students that come to complete courses on site. I hold myself to a high standard, not only with the way that the horses are turned out but also from how the yard is presented. I am accustomed to working in high pressure environments having to make decisions with little time, staying calm and coming up with solutions quickly and effectively.
