ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Groom who will be responsible for the daily welfare, care, and exercise of a group of up to 8 horses, and the cleanliness of their stable and respective yard area at the resort.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Care and preparation of horses for training and sessions
- Daily grooming i.e., cleaning, brushing, shampooing of the horses
- Assess the health of the horses e.g., lameness, colic etc.
- Responsible for feed, nutrition, and hydration of the horses
- General maintenance of the stables
- Cleaning the beds of horses in stables
- Ensure the daily tasks and routine is performed
- Ensure horses are prepared safely and correctly before polo sessions
- Guide and take responsibility for assistants where applicable (teaching/guiding)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experienced in both grooming and riding horses
- Experienced in the welfare and care of horses
- Excellent team players with a can do attitude
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Good time management
- An excellent eye for detail
- Be a role model and set a good example
REQUIRMENTS
- Must be federated with FAP
- Languages: fluency in Spanish and basic English
- Driving Licence and private vehicle
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience
- Permit to work in Spain or EU passport holder
- Reference check from any or your previous jobs
- Additional diploma, certificate or voluntary service is considered as a positive value
- For students an agreement from their institute/university
