Expanding TB Stud Farm (200+ acres), with a growing mare band (target 30-35 high-quality mares) and a good deal of success, (colts sold in book k 1 & bk2) is now looking for an ambitious Stud Manager looking to stretch themselves and their career. This is a position for someone whose career is on the way up.
An experienced and ‘well-travelled’ professional with strong attention to detail, you will enjoy working with different groups of people, contributing and a thorough understanding of the management of a broodmare band and the development and preparation of their progeny for sale and their future racing career. Knowledge and understanding of the worldwide thoroughbred industry and an international network of contacts would be a real bonus.
Modern management and leadership skills will impress with an ability to lead from the front, inspiring others to deliver the best care of the horses and the farm’s general upkeep. Overseeing the highest standards, you will run a team including an experienced Stud Groom, a senior second man /yearling manager along with hardworking and capable Stud Hands.
Could suit someone who is currently a Stud Manager/Stud Groom or who can take that next step. All previous Stud Managers have been in this position for good periods of time, so this would demonstrate a rewarding and happy environment awaits the right candidate.
