Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Riding Centre Manager to lead the operations of our busy Riding Centre. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre which includes a riding school and livery yard, leading a team of instructors and yard staff, and ensuring the highest standards of horse care, safety, and guest experience. We have a small, friendly team which you’ll be leading and motivating, supporting their development and learning too.

With 45 horses and a 900-acre estate to explore, our facilities include indoor and outdoor arenas, and beautiful hacking routes – making this a truly special place to work. We’re proud to be an approved centre offering lessons, hacks, children’s rides and seasonal events to a wide range of riders as well as DIY, grass, full and working Livery.

This position is offered on a full time, 45 hour contract with a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum. Working hours are generally between 8am and 6pm, 5 days out of 7 with every second weekend off, although flexibility in working times and days may be required.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a busy riding school or equestrian centre

• A recognised teaching/coaching qualification (BHS or UKCC Level 2/3 or equivalent)

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team

• Confident schooling a variety of horses and ponies

• Organised, customer-focused, and comfortable working across departments

• Flexibility to meet business and guest needs, including weekends and holidays

• PVG Disclosure Check required

Accommodation details

Single or double rooms are available, most rooms are ensuite.  Three meals per day are included in the monthly rate. Please note the accommodation available cannot accommodate pets, but we do have contacts in the area for rental opportunities. There is the option to bring your own horse which can be discussed at interview.
