Full Time Travelling Competition Groom/Rider Wanted – Live-In or Live out, Pets Welcome/Horse Considered for Right Candidate
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated full-time travelling groom to join our friendly, family run yard on a permanent basis.
This is a unique opportunity which offers travel to national and international shows, and the chance to become an integral part of a supportive, fun, passionate team.
Location: UK-based (Lincolnshire) with frequent National travel, expanding to European travel soon
Accommodation: Live-in or out position as required; pet-friendly and horse accommodation considered for the right candidate
Discipline: Showjumping predominantly with occasional showing/eventing
Start: ASAP
✨ Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced with competition horses/ponies
- Confident with sole charge at home and travelling nationally/internationally with team as required
- Day to day running of yard – good standard record keeping for dealing with vet/farrier/physio etc
- Able to clip, plait and turnout to high standard
- Lunging, exercising, hacking and fitness work desirable for a lightweight rider.
- Reliable, discreet, organised, and passionate about horse care
- Calm under pressure and comfortable with a fast-paced show environment
- Valid passport and driving licence – driving 2-box 3.5t lorry essential (current HGV holder or prepared to undertake an advantage)
