Job Description
Full time hands on assistant manager required at a stud farm in Co. Meath, must have experience with Mares, Foals, yearlings, and horses in training.
Minimum Requirements
- Horse care welfare
- Equine transportation
- Horsemanship skills
- Communication skills
- Health and safety regulations
- IT/Digital skills
- Racings industry knowledge.
Duties:
- Dealing with staff members, assigning tasks
- Prepare weanlings, yearlings, and mares for public sale to include lunging, walking, achieving a high standard of turnout
- Preparing stock for veterinary checks and farrier visits
- Feed and water animals according to schedules and feeding instructions
- Examine and observe animals to detect signs of illness, disease, or injury
- Provide general farm maintenance such as cleaning water troughs and small repairs
- Maintaining and running stable yard
