Job Description

Part-Time/Full-Time Experienced Groom Required

This is an ideal position for an experienced older groom, who would like to still use their extensive skills/knowledge but at a less frantic pace of a busy professional yard. 

We are looking for a knowledgeable and reliable part-time/full-time senior groom to join our friendly yard. This role requires someone with high standards of care who takes real pride in their work and is confident handling competition horses.

 

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience caring for and handling horses to a high standard

• Confidence working with fit competition horses

• Reliable, trustworthy, and attentive to detail

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

 

Duties include:

• Daily care and management of horses

• Mucking out, feeding, grooming, and tack cleaning

• Turning out and general yard duties

• Ensuring horses are cared for with the highest level of attention and kindness

• Mane pulling, clipping trimming 

• Competition/Show preparation

 

Details:

• Full-Time 5 day week/Part-time position, days to be agreed

• Competitive rate of pay

• Pension scheme and 28 days paid holiday (pro rata)

• Modern, well-appointed accommodation available for a full time person. Part time is live out.
