Experienced Rider / Rider-Groom Required.
Do you want to be part of a professional showjumping yard with horses ranging from newly backed youngsters to Grand Prix-level competitors?
Wr are based near Rugby and looking for an exceptional rider to join our small, dedicated team.
This is a rare opportunity to:
- Back and break quality young showjumpers.
- Produce them correctly – with time, kindness, and proper flatwork – for long, successful careers.
- Compete regularly at national and international level.
- Work with a string of just 12 horses max, from 3-year-olds to top competition horses.
Who We’re Looking For
We need a top-class rider, not a hobbyist. The right candidate will have:
- Proven experience producing young horses – quietly and correctly, not the hard and fast way.
- Excellent flatwork skills and a patient, kind approach.
- The ability to take young horses confidently around tracks for the first time and guide them up the levels.
- Drive, professionalism, and attention to detail both in and out of the saddle.
This is not a role for amateurs, pony club riders, or aggressive “hard breakers.” We’re looking for a skilled professional who genuinely understands what it takes to produce top-level showjumpers.
What We Offer
- Live-in accommodation (single accommodation on site).
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Performance bonuses / commission structure when horses you’ve helped produce are sold.
- Opportunity to ride and compete both young horses and established competitors at shows.
- Work within a small, focused team passionate about producing horses the right way.
- Pets welcome (dog or cat).
About Us
Our ethos is simple: produce every horse with patience, skill, and kindness, so they stay happy, healthy, and confident throughout their careers. We keep our yard deliberately small to ensure quality over quantity – and we’re looking for someone who shares our values and ambition.
