Sadly, the Head Groom is injured and will be off work for some months. They have been with this lovely family circa 4 years, (we placed them, so usefully ‘vouch’ for both :))

Based on a 700-acre farm in the Cotswolds . You should be capable of sole charge of 4 fit hunters, and already Head Person level. Someone who can look after the yard, horses (hunters) and ride are all prerequisites.

Ideally, you must also be able to drive a 7.5t lorry, but this may not be a deal breaker.

The family mainly hunt once a week on a Saturday, sometimes twice a week. The successful applicant will be a capable Rider of fit hunt or hunt-type horses, able to turnout and ideally transport horses to meets. The family with young teenage children often attend events with children one day of the weekend so you will need to be accommodating of this cheerful, fun, family-friendly environment.

Facilities include indoor and outdoor schools, horse walker, and acres of wonderful off-road hacking around the Cotswolds countryside.
