A quality full-livery yard with superb facilities requires an experienced Yard Manager/Trainer to lead a happy, motivated, and professional team reporting directly to the yard owner. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and knowledgeable equestrian professional who leads from the front to make a difference and to play a key role in growing and maintaining this high-quality premium livery business in an area of very high demand.

 

This is a yard that aspires to show how high-end livery should be done and takes good care of staff, horses and clients whilst doing so. The Yard Manager will be required to take Equestrian skills within the Yard to the next level to achieve a professional standard and corresponding professional image, which is to be maintained at all times.

 

The Manager is expected to partake in the recruitment of staff.

 

You must be a competent Rider/Trainer and general horse person capable of undertaking the day-to-day care of a variety of horses. Clients require that their horses be ridden skilfully in their absence and that the Manager actually rides each horse from time to time and knows them personally. 

 

A ‘client-friendly’ Team player is essential. 

 

You should have a complete and up-to-date CV with proven experience in managing a professional livery yard or similar facility. With strong leadership and team management skills, you will be able to motivate and oversee staff and bring an engaging, client-focused approach.

 

Essential Experience

 

• Experienced Rider
• Minimum 2+ years demonstrable track record in a yard management role within an equestrian environment.
• Familiarity with a range of equestrian disciplines, including recreational riding.
• You must have demonstrated ability to grow and maintain an equestrian business and to build strong client relationships.

 

You should have a current driving license and a car.
