Full time, Live in
Family with four children (aged 11-19) seeks an efficient, self-motivated, cheery individual to take full charge of hunters and children’s event ponies and horses.  Horses ranging from retirees to FEI ponies/horses.  Must have very good time keeping and organizational skills and enjoy being part of a family yard.  While this is a sole charge job, you are very much part of a wider estate team.
Must have experience in turning out hunters to a high standard and thorough knowledge of event grooming including all clipping and plaiting. Hunting no more than twice a week and generally one-horse days. Â Eventing takes centre stage with the youngest daughter on GB pony team last year and is hoping to progress through the ranks to Juniors/Young Riders. Opportunity to travel to lovely events including stay aways and internationals where appropriate.
You will be required to hack out, ride and lead, lunge and school where appropriate.
All the facilities that you could dream of, including gallops, with two other event riders based in separate yards on site.Part time help in place for days off and away days.
You will be required to muck in with a fun, busy family, go with the flow and get stuff done! Good sense of humour a must!
You will be required to look after all aspects of the day to day running of the yard: liaising with vets/farriers/physios/dentist. As well as fitness and feed plans. Majority of horses live out so there is minimal mucking out.
HGV license already in place would be a bonus or if not, you will be required to do your test.
Excellent rates of pay, bonuses and paid holiday.
5.5 days a week with Wednesday afternoon off and Sundays. Days given in lieu if you are required to work on your days off. Must be flexible during the eventing season.
Lovely 3 bed on site cottage included with council tax paid.
