We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual to help run a small, friendly private yard with four horses, six chickens, a Labrador, and a cat! Suited to someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in high standards of care.

The Yard:

• 4 horses: competition horse, happy hacker, retired horse, and a 2-year-old sports horse
• Small, private setup with a calm, well-organised environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily yard duties (mucking out, feeding, turnout, tack cleaning, general yard upkeep etc)
• Hacking and lunging (confidence with a range of horses essential)
• Care and management of all horses to a high standard
• Driving a 3.5t horsebox (must be confident and competent)
• General care of 6 chickens
• Liaising with professionals (farrier, physio, etc.)
• Helping maintain the organisation of the yard and land
• Occasional care of 1 dog and 1 cat when owners are away
• Light household support, such as accepting deliveries or allowing access to the house during owner absences etc
• Assisting at events/competitions occasionally

Requirements:

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• Confident handling large horses of different ages
• Organised with good communication skills
• Confident driver (3.5t horsebox essential)
• Positive, can-do attitude
