Job Description
We are a high-end livery and dressage yard close to London, located within a large and beautifully maintained countryside estate, seeking an experienced Senior Groom to join our established and friendly team.
This is a key role within the yard, supporting both the Yard Manager and Owner in maintaining exceptional standards of horse care, yard presentation, and team performance.
The successful candidate will play an active role in supervising and coaching the team, helping to create a positive, organised, and motivated working environment. You will also take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the yard in the Manager’s absence.
Alongside leadership responsibilities, the role includes all standard yard duties, with care of approximately 5–6 horses per day across a varied range, including competition dressage horses, eventers, and well-mannered stallions.
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in delivering consistently high standards of horse care and yard management
- Is organised, reliable, and confident managing both workload and people
- Communicates well with clients and builds positive relationships with liveries
- Works well within a team environment and contributes to a supportive yard culture
- We are happy to consider someone stepping-up into their first leadership position.
Confident riding ability is important. Riding duties include exercising horses, lunging, and some schooling depending on experience.
We also offer the opportunity to keep your own horse on staff livery and shared staff accommodation (if required). Salary dependent on experience.
