Job Description
Full Time or Part Time considered
Care of event horses from youngsters to those going to Badminton, Burghley, Bramham and Blenheim
General yard duties and care, enusring hores have nebulisers, specialist rugs on, take swimming or to treadmill or gallops, first aid if required, clipping, trimming, etc
Supervise junior staff when required and ensure all yards done properly
Heling at some one day shows/events
Can include riding and fittening work, possibly assisting schooling horses but not essential
Minimum Requirements
Experience working with competition horses
Experience handling fit and young horses and confident enough to lead stallions
Experience to recognise when a horse is not right or mildly “off” and some knowledge of how to care for that horse or when a horse is injured
Sufficient experience working in the industry to work independently and manage the yard and staff in Yard Managers absence
Our yard has lots of things going on and so will suit someone who likes variety in their work rather than a routine which is the same every day
