Job Description
Experienced Showjumping Rider / Young Horse Producer
£30,000–£40,000 | 5-day week | Accommodation | Visa support
McCashway Stud is looking for an experienced showjumping rider/producer to join our professional private yard near Rugby.
The key requirement is the ability to produce young horses correctly and consistently present them at their best in the competition ring.
We are looking for a rider with a proven competition record to at least 1.30m, strong flatwork and genuine experience producing young sport horses.
You must be able to take a young or developing horse from schooling at home through training shows and into competition, producing confident, rideable, consistent rounds and building a positive competition record.
We are not looking for someone who has simply jumped the occasional big class. We want a rider who can repeatedly deliver good rounds, improve horses from show to show and make them look rideable, competitive and attractive.
The role includes:
• Riding, schooling, producing and competing a defined string
• Producing young horses correctly through the levels
• Planning training and competition programmes
• Regular UK competition with international opportunities where appropriate
• Helping organise the yard, staff and daily routines
• Coordinating farriers, vets, vaccinations, worming and entries
• Maintaining excellent standards of horse care and yard management
• Sharing normal yard duties – everyone mucks in
You must have:
• Proven competition experience at 1.30m+
• A consistent competition record
• Excellent flatwork and feel
• Proven young-horse production experience
• Confidence with fit, blood and athletic horses
• Strong horsemanship and organisational skills
• A proactive, professional attitude
We offer:
£30,000–£40,000 basic salary, 5-day week, accommodation, livery for own horse, excellent facilities, quality horses, genuine ring time, training and visa support for the right candidate.
Please apply with your competition record, riding/competition videos and details of horses you have personally produced.
