Based between Bicester and Brackley, this is a lovely long-term role for the right candidate who is happy to do 24 hours of housekeeping work per week (must enjoy frantic country family life and cooking/clearing away etc :)). This is a large family when everyone is home and ages range from very young children to grandparents. Can be 9 adults and 6 children on occasions so a calm and steady personality is required for this role. That being said we have spoken to the ‘outgoing’ housekeeper who says:

• This was a beautiful place to work -Good fun role with a kind and well-mannered family
• Basic cooking is what is required, nothing fancy, just wholesome stuff: roasts, shepherd’s pies, lasagne, etc.
• Some cleaning and ironing is required
• Other staff employed around the place are great

Ideally, you will be flexible to more hours by prior arrangement. Your hours would be spread over:

. Friday 4 pm to 7 pm,

. Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm

. Monday 8 am to 1 pm.

A secluded three-bedroom cottage is available, and it is a 5-minute walk up the drive to the main house. The accommodation has 2 Reception rooms, a kitchen, a downstairs loo and an upstairs bathroom and shower room, with oil central heating and a large garden.  The accommodation can be furnished/part-furnished/unfurnished, depending on your preference. You would need to pay your own utility bills.

No cats unless strictly housecats, as owners guard their rich birdlife/wildlife.
