We currently have an opportunity for a yard groom to join our current expanding team at a busy and popular equestrian centre. Training given in all aspects to set you up in the equestrian industry. We have four yards, three livery and one riding school. You will be involved in the daily running of the yard alongside a supervisor and current team members. There will be all the usual yard work, including mucking out, turning out and tacking up. You need to have some experience handling horses and basic equestrian common sense. Some ridden experience is preferred but not required as you will receive weekly training which includes a few riding lessons a week as part of your training ( 3 to 5 hours to be discussed on application) toward BHS exams. There is the potential for the right candidate to exercise horses within the working day where required.
We are a BHS approved riding school, livery yard and “Where to train” centre. We have excellent expanding facilities set within 550 acres of beautiful off-road hacking including a cross country course and a therapy centre. We have a mechanical event simulator that is used for both training and teaching.
