Job Description Looking for a responsible and reliable member of staff to do the yard at home. This includes all usual daily duties and looking after the horses, tacking up etc and some help with lunging and hacking (although not compulsory) and groom at the odd competition if needed. We are a private yard with competition horses, home bred youngsters and a handful of private liveries. Up to 15 horses. The role requires someone who is able to take sole charge some days and work as part of a small team on others; be efficient through out the day and communicate with clients, farrier, other staff etc 2-4 full days a week inc. a weekend day, and 2-3 mornings, so some flexibility (30-45hrs) The position requires a minimum of two full days per week 7.30am – 5.30pm (typically Thursday/Saturday but flexible) and two mornings 8am – 1pm. Job Description To provide care for the horses at home and assist with competition preparation to ensure the smooth running of the yard and facilities. Job Description We are looking for an experienced groom to help 2 other full time live in grooms with our 10 horses at our private yard in Surrey . Must be able to work 5 or 6 days a week to include most weekends, although this can probably be flexible by prior arrangement outside the busier show months. Must at least be able to drive a 3.5t horse box (HGV licence and HGV experience would be a bonus). Job Description Sole charge groom wanted for a small private family yard near Wantage in Oxfordshire. We are looking for someone who is experienced self-motivated, reliable and able to manage their own time. We estimate 3-6 hours per day Monday to Saturday depending on exercise, farrier and the time of year etc, but you are responsible for ensuring the job is done. This would be suitable for an experienced person who also wants to do freelance or other part time flexible work, but we expect priority to our horses. Previous job holders have almost all done this. Must be a competent and sympathetic rider to help exercise /bring on 2 dressage horses. You will have responsibility for all aspects of care of 4 stabled horses including 2 dressage horses requiring excersing/schooling generally 3 to 4 days per week. The other 2 horses are semi retired and do not generally need regular execise other than turn out. Duties include but not limited to, turnout, rugs, mucking out, tack maintenance, grooming, worming schedule. We also have three retired horses permanently at grass which need checking and sometimes feeding in winter as appropriate (car provided for this as 4×4 required for access).
