Job Description Groom/rider required by renowned and long-established co-educational school and equestrian centre. Either full-time or part-time working throughout the year to cover maternity leave. We would also consider part-time during school hours. Weekend staff also required. This School/ Equestrian Centre is a vibrant yard, mainly dealing with children and is part of a School community.  It is a 35 box yard, set in the centre of thriving an bustling village with 2 sand schools, a training cross-country course and on-site hacking. Due to impending staff maternity leave, we are looking for a competent, friendly and reliable Groom who is energetic and motivated, to join the team working in our busy Livery Yard and Riding School. We would welcome applications from those looking for either full time or part time working. Please state your preference in your application. Full-time work involves a five-day working week which will include one weekend day. Experience is preferred but not essential and we are committed to the continued professional development of all its employees. We are looking for an experienced rider to join our small friendly team. We are a 45 stable yard divided into two American style barns and a small outside ten box yard, we have an indoor lunge pit, indoor school, 3f round sand and rubber gallop and 1m6f grass gallop. We are set on 160 acres just outside Lambourn. We run a small breaking and pre-training yard, probably breaking in about 80 or so yearlings a year mainly from August through till March time, during the summer months we are quieter. We are a small team myself and my husband are pretty hands on and we have two to three others depending on the time of year. We are currently looking for someone to help with both the breaking and riding. Our hours of work are 7:30-12:30 – 3:30 – 5 Monday to Friday, we all work Saturday am which is 7:30 – 10:30. We work every other weekend/sometimes one in three which is Saturday afternoon 4-5 ish just feed, hay etc – Sunday morning 9-10:30 ish (basically till finish which is sometimes only half an hour or so) we just skip out, feed, hay. We have single accommodation which is a small four bed flat shared with two others, we take a subsidized rent of £45/week which includes council tax, TV licence, water, electric, wifi.

Private Show-jumping Yard looking for a General Home / Show groom (Will consider less experienced for Training/Apprenticeship for the right applicant) We are looking for an organised, conscientious individual who uses their own initiative and works to a high standard. You would need to be able to work as part of a small team, be confident in handling fit competition horses. The position is to groom at home, day shows and stay away shows both National and International shows in the UK and possibly Europe. On occasions you may need to be in sole charge.  The role involves all general horse care and yard duties such as stables, nets, feeds, keeping the yard clean, tidy, presentable, and the cleaning of tack. Ensure the Truck is packed with all equipment for both day and away shows The daily care and grooming of the horses, tacking / untacking of the horses, finishing them off after work and turning them out to a high standard. Training Officer Due to an increase in demand this well-known horse charity is seeking to recruit a Training Officer to join their Knowledge and Skills team. You will be responsible for training a wide range of audiences, including the emergency services, be responsible for developing training materials and have a large role in training and qualification administration. You will assist the Training Manager in all aspects of creating and delivering the charity’s internal and external training programmes, which may be on or off-site, field or classroom-based, or online. Job Description Sadly after two years, one of my guys is moving on so I am going to need to find a replacement to work with us for this season. I know the person leaving will highly recommend the job and would be here for anyone to ask questions to, the position needs to be filled by the Second week of November. I need either a rider/groom or a yard person. If applying for the rider position then I would like the person be able to use their seat and ride leg long as well as riding a racehorse, showjumping/eventing/hunting experience would be great… Ideally be able to ride youngsters, ride work, school and adapt to the horse they are on. I am happy to give training to the right person. There will be some yard duties and chance to go racing etc. The horses are all well schooled, sensible and are generally very good rides. The yard person would be instead of a rider, to work alongside Nicky, getting our horses tacked up, putting on and off the walker, grooming and generally helping to make sure everything runs smoothly as part of a team. The hours are 6-12 and 3.30 to 5, 5.5 days a week, with one weekend in 3 to work. If you work the sunday then you get Thursday off and an afternoon to suit everyone. Job Description We are looking for someone to help run our family yard and look after the day to day welfare of 2/3  family ponies; the successful candidate must be child-friendly. This is not a ridden role but the candidate must be able to help with show preparation and tow a 2 horse trailer (with a Range Rover) on a weekly basis. The role will also require occasional help to assist a team of gardeners on an ad hoc basis. Job Description Experienced groom with or without stud work experience wanted to come and join our small friendly dedicated team. We are currently looking for a permanent stud hand to assist with the daily care of mares, foals and young stock. This position includes all general yard work (mucking out, bringing in and turning out, groom, general yard maintenance) as well as your standard stud duties. A big part of this position is preparing yearlings and foals for the sales ( Tattersales & Goffs) therefore the candidate must be confident in handling young stock. Job Description Racing yard with many exciting horses to run for the 2018/2019 season is now looking for work riders and yard staff required to join their young and vibrant team.
