Job Description We are looking for a passionate and experienced self-employed groom to join our small team on a private family yard in Oxted, Surrey. All aspects of equine care and management required for our small rescue yard, to include care of some farm animal pets. Attention to detail is paramount to continue our high standard of care. Riding for someone confident with green horses, lightweight rider a bonus as two children’s ponies in work. Working hours 8.30am-4.30pm, to include three week days per week and a minimum of two weekends per month. Minimum Requirements Driving licence essential as rural location.

She is super keen and an active rider both at home and in competitions. This Rider now wants some permanent FT help so she can focus on her competing/riding and family. This means she needs a flexible, conscientious self-starter to help manage the load and balance things, keeping all plates spinning to a high standard. All usual mucking out and poo picking are required, (with some help). All the horses live out in summer. You would need to be a home and away Groom with the flexibility to attend some competitions. Turnout duties are essential and to a good standard. A kind and competent Rider is required. 7 horses (1x retired 1x eventer/14 years old both 15.3HH BE100 7yr old 16.2HH just started eventing/ 8 year old 15.2HH mare SJ/2 ponies x2 12.2 9yrs old and 10HH shetland. Other duties could include: Help with childcare 2x daughters 7 and 5 yrs old – childminding, riding supervision, the odd school run. etc Dog feeding etc on occasions/letting them in/out when the owner is away competing. The position entails usual yard duties plus competition grooming. You should be confident handling all types of horses of any age with the ability to cater for sensitive horses and young horses. We have the pleasure of owning and producing beautiful and versatile warmblood horses. Our bloodlines include some of the top in the Country ;- Concorde, Kannan, Voltaire, Zirocco Blue, Cardento, Kashmir V. We are based in West Wales near Tregaron in a stunning rural location with purpose built equine facilities with an Equine Therapy and Spa onsite. We also have our own racewood eventer simulator which staff have regular training. Set in the midst of the idyllic Cambrian Mountains we are graced with beautiful outriding and our horses benefit with hacking out as part of their daily routines. These quality Warmbloods are or have competed in show jumping competition in this country and abroad. This full time, live in or out role in a newly built accommodation bedroom with own bathroom under floor heating and shared stunning living dining kitchen onsite. We need a competent rider to join the team. Most importantly to work with our wonderful team, getting the best from our horses.
